Mercier Freres, the firm founded by Claude Mercier, traded from 100 rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine from 1867 and were prominent exhibitors at all the major International Exhibitions of the mid- and late 19th century, being awarded many medals for their furniture and decorative objects.
