Levels: four into neck, one very top shoulder; one with vintage torn label, vintage verified on branded cork
Fully evolved red colour. As always with Lafite plenty going on the nose; cigars, cedar, old wood and redcurrants. Dry leathery wine; lots of meaty chewy currant flavour. Nice length, needs food. A lot of grip for Lafite, indicative of the vintage. Drink now. ***1/2 Mar. 2002 DW
