Francis George Hare, eldest son of Francis Hare Taylor of Hurstmonceaux and Georgiana, daughter of the Rt. Rev. Jonathan Shipley, Bishop of Asaph, married Anne Frances, daughter of Sir John Deal Paul, 1st Bt.
Francis George Hare was two years old when he posed for the portrait by Reynolds commissioned by his maternal aunt, Anna, Lady Jones, which the present miniature is copied from.
