With a mahogany pedestal, applied plaque inscribed 'William Morgan Esquire late actuary of the Equitable Assurance. This bust was included in the 1834 exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts and had been executed in 1833 by Joseph Towne (1808-1879) anatomical modeller and lecturer on the organs of the senses at Guy's Hospital and sculptor of busts and statues' -- 48in.
