Lot Essay

Known for his still lives, Jeannin debuted at the Paris Salon in 1868 where he exhibited regularly. He became the President of the Society of flower painters and obtained many awards, being conferred with the award of Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in 1903. His works have been conserved in museums throughout France.
