Lot Essay

The son of Giovanni-Battista Santoro, Rubens studied at the Naples Academy, exhibiting in Naples, Turin, Venice, Rome, London and Paris. Awarded an honourable mention in 1896, the Museums of Cincinatti and Turin have conserved his works.
