Lot Essay

Herbo studied at the Academies of Tournai and Brussels. Herbo debuted in 1875, exhibiting in Brussels, Munich, Gand, Cologne and Paris where he gained an honourable mention at the Exposition Universelle in 1889. He was made Chevalier de l'Ordre de Léopold. The Museums of Brussels, Tournai and Ypres have acquired his works.
