The kahki-green field with ribbon-tied flowering cornucopiae entwined with snakes in each corner around a bold quatre-foil medallion with a chocolate-brown central roundel filled with an elaborate coat-of-arms positioned upon a wreathed plinth, in a broad ivory border divided into various panels filled with geometric and floral decoration between shaded pink scrolling leaf, plain kahki-green and lemon-yellow floral and scrolling ribbon stripes, a narrow mid-blue outer stripe, areas of light wear, scattered repairs, backed, overall good condition

This armorial carpet was commisioned to celebrate a marriage. Whilst one half of the armorial device is that borne by the Brugier de Ronchain, d'Andelat and Rochebrune family, the second half is as yet unidentified.
