The arched canopy carved with upswept acanthus motif surmounted by finials and supported by channelled and foliate columns, the inside of the canopy originally fitted with pleated ivory silk, now distressed, the bed fully upholstered in floral soie impression sur chaine by Lelièvre, Paris, with bouquets and bird motifs on an ivory ground with green velvet embroidered border, the shaped headboard upholstered with green silk-velvet and buttoned floral silk en suite, with two large rectangular foliate cushions, and three stitched watered-silk covered square cushions, with double mattress and bedcover; together with a pair of modern gilt-metal articulated wall lights with en suite shades
