MAKER'S MARK SW, POSSIBLY FOR MATHIEU SCHOVILLE, SEE STUYCK 4058, LIEGE, 1644
The circular section base decorated with angel masks and foliate scrolls on a textured ground, with two cartouches, each engraved with the sacred monogram, with a knopped stem, the plain circular section bowl with a foliate scroll motif cagework base, the conforming cover with similar decoration and a later Patriarchal cross finial - 15½in. (39.3cm.) high, 31oz.
