A LOWESTOFT INSCRIBED INKPOT
CIRCA 1785-95
Of flared and slightly waisted cylindrical form, inscribed in brown A Trifle from LOWESTOFT within a puce foliage surround flanked by flowersprays and with a bouquet of flowers, the pierced top with four holes for quills and painted with a meandering garland of flowers about a central well, the flared rim with brown loop ornament (extended crack around the top, down the side and through the base)
3 in. (7.5 cm.) diam.
