A SEVRES CUP AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1775, PALE-MAUVE INTERLACED LS AND PAINTER'S B MARKS FOR BOULANGER, CUP WITH INCISED MARK, SAUCER WITH INCISED 3
The cup with a continuous pendant berried garland suspended from gilt loops hung from a broad border, the border with gilt-edged shaped panels of red brick ornament divided at intervals by oval gilt and blue panels enclosing flowerheads, between blue bands gilt with foliage, the handle gilt with dot ornament and pendant palmettes, the saucer with a similar border suspending a continuous garland, gilt dentil rims (cup with hairline crack from rim, handle with area of sanding and slight wear to gilding)
