signed Piguet Meylan, case no.4269, circa 1820
frosted gilt cylinder movement, plain brass balance, musical pin barrel, music start /stop lever underneath the enamel decorated cuvette, white enamel dial with Roman numerals and quarter Arabic numerals and blued steel serpentine hands, in circular case with seed pearl set bezel, the reverse (later) decorated with painted polychrome enamel scene depicting reclining lady within country scene, case band and bow decorated with blue and red enamel, with later wooden case, movement stamped under the dial PM in lozenge for Piguet & Meylan, case stamped PM in lozenge and numbered
