A Canton ivory brise fan,
painted with three vignettes: a lady with two children in Classical dress, a lady gardening watched by another from a window, and a lady standing by a statue, beside a swan, the reserves finely carved recto only with fortresses, buildings with flagpoles, flowers and a border fruit, fish and animals, the guardsticks carved with pagodas - 8in. (20cm.), circa 1805 (slight damages)
