a fan composed of feather shaped panels made from the bark of the Lagetta Lintearia tree, the border from the Spatha, the sheath of the fruit of the Mountain cabbage tree, trimmed with ferns, the sticks of pierced sanders wood- 10in. (26cm.), circa 1860 - in shaped box, trimmed with a fern, and containing a description of the fan; a feather handscreen trimmed with red and white feathers, with bone handle - 12in. (30cm.), Brazilian, circa 1865 - in contemporary shaped green box with remains of label and an album containing twelve mats of pressed ferns circa 1860 (3)
