A collection of black and white stills associated with Maurice Bessy's career as editor of Cinemonde Magazine, majority circa 1940s-1950s including approximately 68 stills of Bessy in Hollywood with various stars, sometimes presenting the artists with the Winged Victory Trophy (the French 'Oscar'), subjects include: David O. Selznick, Walt Disney, Clark Gable, Edward G.Robinson, Glenn Ford, Spencer Tracy, Douglas Fairbanks, William Holden and Cary Grant, majority -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.), (several stills with duplicates); eight black and white prints of Bessy, three portrait shots and five of subject in a Hollywood film studio props department, the latter -- 5 1/3x4in.
