A Victorian large walnut, part-ebonised and gilt-brass quarter-chiming bracket clock on bracket, circa 1890
The case with cushion-moulded top, with flaming urn finials and cast sound frets, with caryatid and flower mounts to the front angles and lion mask ring handles to the sides above radiant mask side frets, on scroll feet, the arched brass dial with silvered foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, chime/silent lever above 60, with subsidiary rings above for regulation and Westminster/Eight bells selection, the substantial eight day triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, hour strike on gong and quarter chimes on eight bells -- 36½in. (93cm.) high; and the scroll-sided wall bracket en suite -- 17in. (44cm.) high
