The case with carved scroll and anthemion cresting, thumb-nail mouldings to the trunk and ribbed urn-shaped cistern cover, wide bore tube (lacking), with glass to two-day angled silvered plates signed PETER CLARE Manchester, with twin sliding vernier scales, the trunk with glazed alcohol Fahrenheit thermometer and with handwritten comparative chart and bone sliding scale -- 39in.
