A Hungarian early 17th Century parcel-gilt beaker
of tapering cylindrical form and on a moulded foot applied above with a frieze of wrigglework, the foot chased with three dogs in a landscape, the body inset with various coins including Roman denarii within cartouches linked by stylised chains, the base inset with a later coin, engraved with a name beneath the rim along with a date 1617, one coin detached, marked on the foot rim with with three towers, possibly Pozsony - 8¾in. (22.50cm.), 11oz.
