the front composed of a line of brilliant-cut diamonds suspending a fringe of knife-edged bars claw set with graduating brilliant-cut diamonds to a Brazillian link backchain, circa 1960, 39.5cm. long, fitted case.

The case with presentation plaque to the lid stating that the necklace was presented on the 9th August 1960 by William Doxford and Sons (Shipbuilders) Limited on the occasion of the launch of M.S. 'Stuart Prince', with accompanying photograph album illustrating the ship and its living quarters.
