PETER LAWFORD PASSPORT
1947
A British passport signed and used extensively by Peter Lawford from 1947 through 1952. The two by two inch black and white photo of the debonair Lawford shows him wearing a tweed suit and tie. Lawford gave "International Actor," as his profession, and under "Special Peculiarities," he wrote "V shaped scar on right upper arm," referring to a childhood injury that nearly cost him his arm and kept him out of World War II. In 1960 Lawford no longer needed a British passport, as he became an American citizen in time to vote for his brother-in-law John F. Kennedy for President, for whom he campaigned alongside Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Also present is a certificate of authenticity.
