JOHN LENNON GRAMMY PRESENTER AWARD

A bronze medal presented by the National Academy of Recordings Arts and Sciences to John Lennon for being a presenter in the 1975 Grammy Awards showing the gramophone award on recto and inscribed on verso "In appreciation John Lennon "The Grammy Awards Show" Telecast 1975." The Award is housed in its original wooden case, which is itself wrapped in paper with the address of an Indiana high school written on it. Students at the school had written to Lennon in 1976 asking him for something to auction at a school fundraiser, and Lennon sent his Grammy presenter's medal to them in Tipton, Indiana wrapped in brown paper.
