Lot Essay

Elisabeth Philippine Marie Helene of France (1764-1794), commonly called Madame Elisabeth, was a sister of Kings Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X of France. She was imprisoned with the family of her brother Louis XVI and died on the Revolutionary scaffold.
