MARKED WITH UNDERGLAZE BLUE CROSSED SWORDS ABOVE GILDER'S NUMERAL 33., CIRCA 1740
Painted in the manner of C.F. Herold, with quatrefoil cartouches within purple and iron-red strapwork, the border with elaborate pendentifs, the cup with two cartouches, the front depicting a trade scene or Kauffahrteiszene on a quay, the reverse with a pastoral landscape, with C-scrolled handle, the saucer en suite with a trade scene depicting an aristocratic couple, the reverse with sprays of Indianischen Blumen (2)
