The breakarch hood with inset columns and glazed side panels, chinoiserie decorated trunk door, the plinth raised on a later skirting, the 12in. wide brass dial with bird and urn spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with date aperture and subsidiary seconds ring, steel hands, a roundel in the arch signed Thos. Fenton/LONDON, with strike/silent lever above 60, the eight day movement with five pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on a later gong
