the bulbous body, with a pair of flaring lug handles on the shoulder, sloping upward to a narrow fluted rim, painted in orange and black over a pale orange slip, with a broad band of foliate elements circumscribing the body, surmounted by a frieze of geometric, foliate, and avian motifs on the neck, orange underbody with old tag inscribed, Sia (?), Mrs. Chas. Ferguson, Accesssion No. 2165, Loan #25, also inscribed XAc-81-G and 1952.541
