The circular enamelled dial with Arabic and Roman chapters and pierced gilt hands, in a circular bezel enclosed by guilloche and foliage, surmounted by a concave-sided platform with a foliate-wreathed urn, the lower case hung with berried laurel above a glazed panel enclosed by guilloche, with berried foliate finial, the movement signed 'Jean Amant a Paris en 1780'
