Almost certainly given by Queen Victoria to Frederick, Lord Methuen (1818-1891) and thence by descent at Corsham Court, Wiltshire.

Lot Essay

Frederick, Lord Methuen had a notable military career in the Crimea and was Lord-in-Waiting to Queen Victoria, spending a significant amount of time at Windsor Castle.

This remarkably complete group of Royal engravings of Queen Victoria and her immediate family also includes one of the Queen's devoted & faithful Personal Attendant & friend John Brown.
