A village at the banks of a river

In his catalogue raisonné Beck stated (loc. cit.) that he was not convinced by the attribution on the basis of the apparent condition of the work. However, on examining the painting in the original in October of this year, he now believes it is an autograph work by the artist.

The present work is accompanied by a certificate of authentification from Dr. Hans-Ulrich Beck, dated 27 October 2004.
