AN ENGLISH MOCHAWARE PORTER MUG
CIRCA 1850
Slip-decorated on a pearlware body, triple-banded in sky blue and centering brown and white 'earthworm' decoration on a chocolate brown ground; together with a Continental oviform jug, probably Jaspé, with everted mouth, strap handle and moulded shoulder ridge, slip-decorated overall on a creamware body with 'cat's eyes' on the reddish ground, those on one side in shades of blue, green, dark-brown and white and on the other side in dark-brown, rust and white, collection nos. 102 & 135a
