Lot Essay

Rev. Samuel Buell (1716-1798) was born in Coventry, Connecticut and graduated from Yale. He became pastor in East Hampton in 1746. His daughter Jerusha married David Gardiner (1738-1774), 6th Proprietor of Gardiner's Island.
