Decorated in the Augsburg workshop of Bartolomäus Seuter with Orientals at various pursuits, the teabowl of more flared form decorated with a scholar painting, a smoking figure and attendants, the other teabowl with a vignette of a seated figure with musician and attendants, the reverses and interiors with birds in branches, the interiors with scalloped band borders edged with scrolls and husks, the saucers similarly decorated, one with dancers and musicians, the other with figures by a fountain, on strapwork supports within similar borders (slight wear) (4)

With Otto Büel, from whom they were acquired in 1958.
