CIRCA 1720, THE DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY
Decorated in the Augsburg workshop of Bartolomäus Seuter with vignettes of an Oriental with a musician and attendants and a scholar at an aesle with attendant and figures, both on strapwork supports below a gilt dentil rim, the handle and spout richly gilt, the cover with birds in branches above a scalloped border edged with C-scrolls, the conical finial richly gilt (areas of wear to gilding)
