CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, PRESSNUMMER 4 TO TEABOWL
Painted and gilt with a vignette of Christ crucifed, flanked by the Virgin and St. John among flowers, the interior of the teabowl and the underside of the saucer painted with flower-sprays in the Kakiemon manner, gilt line rims and footrims (wear to rim of teabowl, small area of wear to rim of saucer and to vignette at base of the cross)
