A VIENNA (DU PAQUIER) SLENDER CUP AND TREMBLEUSE STAND
CIRCA 1735
Of flared form, with a scroll handle surmounted by a bird's head, the stand with a pierced gallery, the cup and centre of the saucer painted with vignettes of geese within borders of iron-red and gilt trellis-pattern panels divided by leaves and scrolls, the lower part of the cup painted and gilt with a gadrooned section, the pierced section of the stand radiating sunburst and scroll panels, gilt line rims (one handle of cup removed and disguised with over-painted flowers, very minor rubbing to gilt rims and central vignette of stand)
