Lot Essay

Henrietta was a schooner yacht of 205 tons designed and built by George Steers. Owned by James Gordon Bennett, she was highly competitive, and well known for her unprecedented transatlantic victory of 13days, 22 hours and 40 minutes to win the Great Ocean Race of December 11 1866.
