A Japanese lacquered metal dish, signed Zeshin, Meiji Period
decorated in red, gold, black and green lacquer with a bird in flight before fruiting leafy branches tied to canes -- 12in. (30.5cms) diam; and a circular black lacquer box and domed cover, decorated in silver and gilt with scattered maple leaves, 20th century -- 10¼in. (26cms) diam, both with fitted boxes. (2)
