Circa 1664 - and later
The dial with crested top painted with the date marks 1664, the Roman chapter ring with central alarm disc and single wood hand, quarter dial below with later hand, flanked by the letters I R, chequer-board painted spandrels, the dial and backboard of pine, the beech wood two train weight-driven movement with balance wheel atop the plates with lead rim, verge escapement with pin teeth, countwheel strike on a bell above, both doors later; basically mid 17th Century and later
