The substantial gorge case with bevelled glazing, the white enamel Roman chapter ring with blued steel hands and counterpoised sweep centre seconds, white enamel recessed centre signed BREVETÉ LE ROY & FILS PALS. ROYAL GIE. MONTPENSIER 13-15 PARIS 286 REGENT STREET, with the visible Desfontaine escapement, the substantial movement with four back-pinned pillars and twin going barrels, the strike on a bell secured to the backplate signed LE ROY & FILS Á PARIS No.7466, also with the stamp for Pons Medaille D'or 1827, with gridiron-style pendulum
