                                            An unusual Continental balance wheel skeleton timepiece with pin-pallet rack-and-pinion escapement
Unsigned. First half 19th Century
The movement with going barrel, four wheel train with two-pallet pinwheel escapement with rack and pinion crutch to the wide diameter three-arm balance within a square brass subframe at the base, the white enamel Roman annular dial within an ormolu foliate cast bezel and with blued steel hands, visible cadrature, circular turned ebonised wood base with later green covering and with glass dome
