All of the 1982 cases were purchased upon initial commercial release directly from Sherry Lehmann. The Pétrus and the Ausone have remained a Sherry Lehmann Wine Caves Inc. for 23 continuous years until being released for this auction. The Cheval Blanc, Lafite, and Léoville-Las-Cases were stored at the Sherry Lehmann Wine Caves Inc. for the first five years and were then shipped directly to the owner's climate controlled home cellar until release for this auction.
