With the exception of two plates of illuminated manuscripts, the other eighteen reproduce fine bindings from the twelfth to the eighteenth century, including a medieval jewelled and enamelled binding, an à la Grec binding for Marcus Fugger (Eusebius, 1544), and one for Henri III.
