LEUCHTENBERG-BEAUHARNAIS, Herzogin Augusta-Amalia von (1788-1854) -- Die Bibliothek... und Beiträge aus anderen Besitz. Berlin: Paul Graupe, 1928.

8o (248 x 168 mm). 62 plates, most of them reproducing bindings. Half cloth, original wrappers bound in.

The library of the wife of Eugène de Beauharnais, née Princess of Bavaria; after Napoléon's fall, her father, King Max Joseph I of Bavaria, conferred on the couple the title of Duke and Duchess of Leuchtenberg, and the principality of Eichstätt. Graupe often mixed other properties, including those of other dealers, with books from a well-known collection, making it difficult to identify Augusta-Amalia's books, unless they bear her or her husband's arms or monograms or have other means of identification. There are some fine bindings by Lodigiani.
