A fine embroidered valence, worked in coloured wools and silks in gros point and petit point with a variety of animals and birds from across the world including a leopard, camel, zebra, goat, frog, peacock, armadillo and monkey beneath a row of fruiting and flowering trees, one end worked with an elephant and a spotted unicorn drinking from a lake, with a lower border of further animals and flowers--15½ x 122in.
