Mounted with matching silver fuchi-kashira, tsuba, koikuchi, kogai, kurikata and extended kojiri, all chiseled with pine and plum trees; tsuba, fuchi and kogai all signed Saito Yoshihiko and with kao, the tsuba dated Meiji sannen hachigatsu hi (1870.8) and the fuchi dated Meiji kogo aki hi (autumn 1870), shakudo and gilt menuki with pine trees
