Inlaid in brass and silver with large peonies and scrolling vines on the front and underside, the sides of the toe-caps decorated with Portuguese traders dressed in capes, pantaloons and hats, the surrounding areas with tightly scrolling vines and the outside edges lined with family crests in roundels; shanks inlaid with formal scroll; red-lacquer interior
