Edo period (18th century), signed Miyata Sagami no Kami Yoshimichi and dated Horeki ninen nigatsu kichijitsu (1751.2)
Honzukuri, iori-mune, chu-kissaki, toriizori with a ko-itame forging pattern with hints of mokume; tempered edge gunome of nie, sunagashi, kinsuji with utsuri and ko-maru boshi; tang ubu with iriyamagata end, one hole and kesho file marks; copper habaki
55.6cm. from tip to beginning of tang; 2.8cm. wide at start of tempered edge; 2cm. wide before tip
