Sugimura Jihei (FL. ca. 1681-97)
Property from the Estate of Bella Kleinman Bella Kleinman (1921-2003), a graduate of Hunter College, lived in New York City and began collecting Japanese prints in the early 1960s, wandering around New York's antique shops. Her collection was formed over a period of twenty years and she retained all of her documentation of purchases. Also an Anglophile, she was introduced to 18th-century English porcelain by London print dealers and became an avid collector. Her porcelain collection was sold at Christie's, London, 6 December, 2004.
