An Inlaid Celadon Stoneware Bowl
Koryo dynasty (13th century)
Raised on a ring foot and inlaid on the interior in white and iron slip with four double-fish medallions below a band of scrolling foliage and with a single large chrysanthemum floret of white slip in the recessed well, the bowl further inlaid in white and iron slip on the exterior with four peony medallions within a wide band of reverse-inlaid foliage and incised-line details bordered by a top band of inlaid white-slip foliage matching the band on the interior and above two white-slip parallel lines; the vessel also applied with a glossy transparent glaze with large craquelure; three spur marks in shallow base
