Lot Essay

The artist graduated from Hong-Ik University in 1976 and lives in Seoul. He had four one-person exhibitions at the Duson Gallery in Seoul between 1985 and 1991. He exhibited at the 42nd Venice Biennale in 1986 and at the Messe Basel, Switzerland, in 1966, 1997 and 1998. He had one-person exhibitions at the Marisa del Rey Gallery, New York, in 1998, and at the Gana Art Center, Seoul, in 1998. His paintings are in the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Kwachon, and the Ho-Am Art Museum, Seoul (Leeum Samsung Museum of Art).
